Angela Caldwell, DVM, M.S. I grew up in the small town of Alpine, Utah. My back yard was the mountains so having mountains to tell me which way is east and west is important to my sense of direction (or lack of it). Even these rocky, cacti filled mountains of “the Valley” help me feel grounded. My youth revolved around my pets, especially my horses. It took me until I was in college that I also found I was interested in science as well. I received an undergraduate degree in Zoology and a masters in Teratology. I went on to receive a doctorate from Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine. My family and I have lived here in Arizona now for over 10 years. My husband and our 2 children have what seems like a little zoo at our house. It is made up of 2 dogs, one cat, 3 horses and 2 snakes. Our little family (and zoo) keeps us busy with much to love and to do. I am a member of the Arizona and American Veterinary Medical Associations. In addition to regular continuing education training I am currently undergoing special training in veterinary ultrasound, which I feel will be a great asset that contributes to our overall goal of excellence in medicine and caring. At Augusta Ranch Animal Hospital I have the privilege of working with people who are as concerned about the gentle touch as the progressive medicine, surgery and diagnostics we are able to perform for our patients. It has also been a pleasure to get to know our family of pets and clients that visit in times of health and sickness. I have seen how much their pet family members mean to them and feel privileged to be a part of their care.
